Candida Yeast Diet - Does it Really Work?

A Candida yeast diet is at the heart of your Candida cure. And a good Candida yeast diet is also a healthy diet so that you benefit in two ways; you get rid of your horrible Candida, and, you improve your overall health in the process. Your diet is very simply broken down into; foods to avoid, and, foods that you can eat. But to understand just how a Candida yeast diet works, you first need to understand the basics of Candida ...

What is Candida?

A Candida yeast infection is caused by Candida Albicans which is a naturally occurring yeast (fungus) that we have in our bodies. The 'beneficial' bacteria in our bodies keeps the Candida Albicans under control so that we normally don't suffer any ill-effects.

Sometimes, for a variety of reasons, the good bacteria can't control the fungus which then 'overgrows' into a state such that we can end up with the infection known as 'Candida', 'yeast infection', or, 'thrush'.

What are the Factors that Trigger the Candida Albicans into an Overgrow?

The overgrow that causes an infection can be triggered by a number of things such as; stress, poor diet, food allergies, antibiotics, steroids, recreational drugs, oral contraceptives, steroid inhalers, diabetes, poor health, body pH changes, hormonal changes, etc.

So How Does a Candida Yeast Diet Help?

Firstly, we are dealing with a 'yeast' here, so that anything you can do to reduce your yeast levels will enhance your ability to get rid of your infection. But what does yeast 'feed' on? Sugars! So you need to reduce your sugar intake too.

And if you look at the above list you can see that along with poor diet, food allergies, antibiotics, steroids, body pH and poor health are key factors in helping to trigger an infection. Did you you know, for instance, that much of our meat contains antibiotics and steroids? Or that your diet influences your bo dy's acidity (pH)? And food allergies can inflame the colon which then encourages the yeast growth.

So, without a doubt, your diet is central to the whole issue of curing your Candida and preventing it coming back again. The trick is to 'starve' the offending yeast of its 'food' supply e.g. sugars etc, while building up your body's immune system and your beneficial bacteria in order to fight off the infection.

Typical Foods to Avoid in a Candida Yeast Diet

The typical foods you must avoid in your diet are; processed meats, red meats, pizzas, pasta, cereals, bread, cereals, potatoes, sweet potatoes, legumes, parsnips, mushrooms, carrots, peas, beans, peanuts, other nuts, pickles, pickled food, vinegar, milk, cream, buttermilk, cheese, margarine, sugar, artificial sweeteners, fruit (fresh, canned and dried), honey, syrups, alcohol, coffee, etc.

Foods to Eat in a Candida Yeast Diet

Foods that are beneficial as part of a balanced diet are; organic (i.e. no antibiotics / steroids) red meat and chicken, fresh vegetables, blue (oily) fish, organic sheep and goat's milk produce, oats, whole grain bread, garlic, pepper, herbs (fresh), sprouted pulses, extra virgin olive oil, palm oil, coconut oil, fruits (especially apples, grapefruit, limes, lemons), hazelnuts, brazil nuts, walnuts. Drinks; herbal tea, mineral water.

What Else Do I Need to Know and What Do I Do Next?

Of course your Candida yeast diet is only the beginning, there are so may other issues that need to be addressed apart from your diet -- e.g. your lifestyle, underlying medical / health problems, etc. -- in order to cure your Candida fast, and more importantly, permanently.

Mainstream drug-based treatment just doesn't cut it here, since they address the symptoms and not the root cause(s) of your Candida. Which is why more and more folks around the world are successfully turning to tot ally natural home-based remedies. This may be a good avenue for you to explore too.

A Diet To Rid Your Body Of Candida

Candida is naturally occurring yeast in the body generally found in the mouth, throat, intestines and genitourinary tract. When friendly bacteria and properly functioning immune system are not present, balance of the system may be lost and Candida overgrowth may occur, but you can help yourself by paying closer attention to your diet.

Someone with an overgrowth of yeast can experience any number of unpleasant symptoms such as a yeast infection, fatigue, rash, depression and anxiety. The symptoms of Candida overgrowth are frequently treated with anti-fungal remedies. Even with these remedies, however, if your diet is not changed to create an environment within the body to prohibit the overgrowth of Candida, relief is sure to be temporary, and problem symptoms will return.

Once you have established that you have a yeast infection, by reviewing symptoms and confirming the presence of causative background factors, there are a variety of dietary change s that you can make to improve your health. Refined sugar should be eliminated from your diet entirely as it encourages the growth of yeast. Sources of this sugar include honey, maple syrup, brown sugar, corn syrup, molasses, and the familiar white granular sugar. Be sure to read all labels carefully because these sugars are used in many products you may normally buy off the grocery store shelves. Don't eat fruit - or drink fruit juices - as they contain natural sugars that promote the growth of yeast. Don't drink beer, wine or liquor as the alcohol also provides sugar, and many of these products are fermented with yeast. http://www.candidarelief.com/candidayeast/

Bagels, muffins, pastries, breads and crackers should also be eliminated from the diet as they conta in yeast and sugar. Anything with vinegar - which is made with yeast culture - should be avoided as well. This would include salad dressings, olives, pickles, mayonnaise, steak sauce, barbeque sauce, soy sauce and mustard. Again, it's important to read all the labels on grocery items. Mushrooms should be avoided as should peanuts and peanut butter, cheeses, and meats that are dried, smoked or pickled. Beverages that should be avoided are fermented drinks such as root beer and cider, black tea, and coffee, including decaffeinated.

Increasing your intake of raw garlic and soluble fiber will help your body to fight the yeast infection. A supplemental dose of acidophilus will help to make your intestinal track more acidic which helps to kill off the Candida. Other recommended supplements include volatile oils, such as peppermint oil or oregano oil - these should only be taken in capsule form as the straight liquid may be toxic. Get plenty of sleep and keep your stre ss to a minimum as well.

Early in the diet many people notice a worsening of their symptoms. When the Candida is killed it releases proteins and toxins. This process is known as die-off and is temporary. With strict adherence to the diet, the patient will usually begin to notice improvements in two to four weeks.

Keeping your immune system, "friendly" bacteria, and Candida in proper balance can be a lot of work; but it's a small price to pay to reclaim your good health and transform your life.

Candida die off and candida infections

Hey there,

if you are reading this now, I suppose you are looking for some answers to the common candida (yeast infection) and candida die off related questions..

What causes yeast infections?

What are the yeast infection symptoms?

What is the best yeast infection treatment?

Is there difference between vaginal and oral yeast infection?

How to cure skin yeast infection?

What is the best candida diet?

Are there any natural anti candida treatments?

How to treat a trush infection ?

What about male yeast infections?

How to treat candida rash ?

After all… how to kill candida?

We all know that candida attacks the immune system first. Things like stress and bad eating habi ts tend to bring it on faster. When the immune system is weak, it is more vulnerable to Candida.

Candida puts a lot of stress on the body. The body then becomes susceptible to other health issues. It is an exasperating cycle that never ends if you don't get treated.

Your body then becomes toxic because it is not receiving the right nutrients for optimal health. Carbohydrate fermentation in the intestine is caused by Candida albicans. The fermentation produces ethanol in the body, which eventually gets into the bloodstream.

Once you start with an antifungal medical treatment and candida starts to die off, you can experience even worse symptoms then the infection itself.

Candida die off, also called "Herxheimer response", occurs when you take an antifungal cure and the yeast is killed off too quickly and overwhelms the body with toxins.

Candida die off symptoms are different for every person, there are some who won't experience any problems and others who may only feel slight discomfort. But, there are also those who experience more severe symptoms of the candida die off effect.  Candida die off will diminish over time, but the length of it's duration is dependent on how strong the medication is that you're taking, how the antifungal kills it, how capable your body is for detox and how much Candida overgrowth you have. It may last a few hours or it may last a few weeks.

But what if this unpleasant and painful affair could be completely avoided?

Candida Natural Remedies - 4 Ways to Beat the Yeast

The main risk factors for candidiasis (Candida overgrowth) are the consumption of a diet high in simple carbohydrates and the prolonged use of antibiotics and/or corticosteroids. These conditions allow the Candida to overgrow as the body's levels of friendly bacteria drop too low too keep the yeast in check. A fundamental part of our treatment for Candida overgrowth must be to reverse this balance in as many ways as possible. In essence, Candida natural remedies involve four key components:

#1 - Starve Candida

You need to follow an anti Candida diet to starve the yeast of its food source. Avoid the foods that help Candida grow (processed sugars, bread, mushrooms, nuts and cheese) and eat lots of the foods that Candida hates (fresh vegetables, wholegrains, organic meat and fresh fish).

#2 - Kill Candida

Take a natural anti-fungal that will he lp dispose of those stubborn yeast that are not starved to death.

#3 - Repopulate your gut flora with friendly bacteria

Probiotics are a vital component in restoring the healthy balance of the gut flora. The friendly bacteria help keep the Candida in check. Take a quality probiotic every day to restore this balance.

#4 - Boost your immune system

Boosting your immune system helps your body fight back against the yeast infection. Take a vitamin and mineral supplement daily. Drink lots of filtered water. Lead a healthy, low stress lifestyle. Get enough sleep. Do some exercise. Avoid cigarettes and alcohol.

These Candida natural remedies should all be used at the same time to attack the overgrowth on four fronts.

Caffeine and Candida: Can I Have My Coffee and Tea?

caffeine-candida-coffee

Is caffeine allowed when following a Candida diet? There is so much information about Candida on the internet and the same is true in regards to caffeine containing beverages such as coffee and tea. Most food lists would tell you to avoid coffee or caffeine and in fact my list said the same which I have now amended. After looking at the reasoning behind excluding caffeine from a Candida diet, as a biologist, I don't exactly buy it. I would tend to place this in the Candida fiction category.

OK, now most caffeinated beverages would contain lots of sugar and other unhealthy ingredients, but after looking at all the evidence I believe that an unsweetened coffee or tea is acceptable. Coffee and tea contain many healthy antioxidants and the recent studies show so many health benefits from them, that it would be unwise to totally remove them from the diet. Sources on the net cite and article from the International Journal of Alternative & Complementary Medicine in 1993, which states that caffeine is an adrenal stressor and this in turn hurts the immune system, therefore leaving the body open to Candida overgrowth.

While there is truth to this, one coffee or a couple teas will not have caffeine amounts high enough to cause this. In fact the antioxidants found in the coffee or tea have been shown to prevent disease. This research is quite frankly out of date and really shouldn't be used as a reason to avoid all caffeine while on a Candida diet. Another myth is that just like caffeine energizes us, it in turn energizes yeast cells. This is fiction because Candida feeds on sugars alone and caffeine works on the central nervous system which yeast do not have as they are one celled organisms. So what's the bottom line? Caffeine via natural products such as coffee and tea are acceptable in moderation and if consumed unsweetened. Natural sweeteners such as stevia would be acceptable. The benefits of moderate coffee and tea consumption far outweigh any of the negatives associated from caffeine's effect on Candidiasis.

Candida Treatments Reviewed

There are a number of different treatments for Candida. Each has its own advantages and disadvantages that should be considered before the race and determination.

The decision to go for natural resources or simply the traditional western medicine for treating Candida is often discussed, and certainly has strong supporters of both parties.

This article does not intend to participate in these discussions, because its goal is simply to inform a person suffering from Candida and give them the best opportunity to recover from this fungal infection as soon as possible.

Candida treatments that are prescribed by doctors generally include anti-fungal such as miconazole or Clortimazole.

These drugs have proven effective, but there are alternatives that are sold without prescription are available at the pharmacy.

Thus, the yeast infection to be treated effectively, there must be a correct medical diagnosis. Other conditions have symptoms similar to the proliferation of Candida and must take medication for the disease may damage done worse.

One of the best ways to help treat candida is, of course, a diet of sugar and yeast.

In this way, actually stop access to the basic ingredients that help to Candida. The approach is often faster after a candida diet while taking medication. Therefore, Candida infection is "hunger", while the work of the drug in the body.

Eine weitere Möglichkeit zur Behandlung von Candida Immuntherapie bezeichnet wird als. This treatment uses extracts from anti-gen in the fight against disease caused by yeast infection.

Like acupuncture, these types of Candida much more specialized care and probably a little "more expensive compared to traditional methods of treatment of such infections.

Acupuncture is sometimes used to treat candidiasis, as is believed to stimulate the immune system to reject, which can help the ef fects of Candida infections.

Another option to consider if this is the problem of Candida, a homeopathic approach to continue. The homeopathic approach to focus on the treatment of candida cleansing the body, especially in the gastrointestinal tract, and living, the yeast Candida happy.
None of the approaches mentioned in this article are mutually exclusive. All you can in relation to the other that is used to increase the impact of Candida infection.

Intestinal Yeast Infections - Can They Be Cured By Diet Alone

Intestinal yeast infections are caused by Candida overgrowth in the digestive tract. The Candida is fed continuously by what you eat so your diet will play an important part of eliminating the yeast from your intestines. This single approach however, will not eliminate the yeast from your body as it is now an aggressive fungus that will find something else to feed on if it needs to, and its food will be you.

The mutated Candida yeast is now a fungus and fungus can easily adapt to its surroundings, and it will learn how to survive. One thing the yeast does like feeding on is you. The itching in your genital area is caused by the yeast feeding on the skin cell membranes in and around your vagina. If it is left to feed it will burrow it's way deeper into your skin until you can no longer stand the itching and burning.

Diet alone will not prevent the Candida yeast from feeding on you so you need to kill the yeast in order to rid it from your body. Eat ing an anti Candida diet is an important part of your anti Candida protocol, but this needs to be backed up with natural anti fungals that will kill the yeast.

Killing the yeast not only cures your intestinal yeast infection, it will also make room for the re-growth of your friendly bacteria that your body needs. Your friendly bacteria will prevent the yeast from infecting you in two ways.

First, your friendly bacteria will fight off the yeast as it does naturally in any healthy human being. Any Candida that enters your body that survives the journey past your stomach acid will then be killed off by your intestines colony of friendly bacteria.

Secondly, your friendly bacteria will also strengthen your immune system. A healthy immune system will help your body naturally fight off any reoccurrence of your Candida overgrowth. Women with healthy immune systems have no trouble in curing their yeast infection with an over the counter anti fun gal cream. It's when your immune system is weak that the Candida will become recurrent, and then you have trouble curing it until you find out the real cause.

Adding probiotics to your anti Candida protocol will speed up the time in which you cure your internal Candida infection. Probiotics will help rebalance our intestinal flora, and strengthen your immune system.

So although your diet is important you also need to kill the yeast, and repopulate your intestines with friendly bacteria. Doing all of these will strengthen your body from the inside so you can successfully rid your body of the Candida yeast.

Natural Remedies for Candida, Candida Cure

Candida is a species of naturally occurring fungi in the human body. At a regulated growth, it poses no health hazard to us. However, when the organism becomes prolific, it causes infection in the area that it inhabits and threatens our systems. Thus it is important to keep the fungi population at a benign level. At times when this is impossible, as when one is stressed, exposed to the infection or is immuno-impaired, certain measures to restore one's health can be taken.

With going au naturelle being a proven path in medicinal cures, natural remedies for Candida may be the answer to your vaginal infection woes. And since they are natural, they are easily accessible to anyone with common sense, self discipline, and the luck to get out of stressful situations and polluted environments.

The principal remedy for Candida therefore is prevention. Again, an old and time-tested quote goes, "An ounce of prevention is worth a pound of cure". This advice is m ighty helpful in instances of yeast infection, or in the case of women, vaginitis, as the Candida fungi are innately present in the human body. We thus have to be conscious about how to curtail the microorganisms' proliferation. If the disease can be prevented, we need not worry about the cure.

Many experts cite fiber as being a superb natural remedy for Candida. The reason that experts suggest an increase in one's fiber intake is because it is believed that low fiber intake results in an overgrowth of Candida in the intestines. The overgrowth of Candida eventually works its way through the intestinal walls and creates a systemic issue with Candida. Fiber supplements can be added to eight ounces of water and consumed twice daily for optimal benefits.

Another popular herbal remedy for Candida is grapefruit seed extract. Grapefruit seed extract is an anti-fungal solution that helps to raise the bodies pH back to a level where it becomes too acidic for the Candida to live. Helping to raise the bodies' pH level back to healthy levels is an effective way to treat Candida.

The best natural remedy in terms of this is diet. Having a specific "Anti-Candida" diet is an effective way to cure candida esophagitis. Basically, an "anti-candida" diet would require a sufferer to avoid refined carbohydrates such as white rice, white bread, pasta, biscuits and cakes. Recommended food for the "anti-candida" diet would include foods with full fat, live yogurt and milk coconut. There are also certain fruits that should be avoided like melon, grapes and bananas.

New natural remedies for Candida research work being done by Bruce Tianio is startling. Tianio identified the electrical frequency of essential oils and how different oils affect the body and its defense system. A frequency monitor meter (his invention) rates the electrical frequencies of natural and man-made substances.

At the same time, we're continually inundated with news of the most recent diet and how this time it's really going to work for us. The South Beach Diet, the Zone Diet, the Atkins Diet, the Low Carb Diet, the Cabbage Soup Diet, the Mediterranean Diet, the LA Weight Loss Diet, the Weight Watchers Diet, the Diabetic Diet, the Low Cholesterol Diet, the Prescription Pill Diet, the 3 Day Diet, the Low Fat Diet, the High Protein Diet, the Maker Diet, the Liquid Diet, the Grapefruit Diet, the Fad Diet, the Blood Type Diet, the GI Die t, the Vegetarian Diet, the Vegan Diet, the Detox Diet, the Dash Diet, the Candida Diet, the Gluten Free Diet, the Hollywood Diet, the Negative Calorie Diet, the 1200 Calorie Diet, the Raw Food Diet, the Phentermine Diet, the High Fiber Diet, the Macrobiotic Diet, the Science Diet, the Lemonade Diet, the Scarsdale Diet, the Diverticulitis Diet and the Fat Flush Diet are all examples of diet plans that promise to help us achieve quick weight loss.

Crash diets, weight loss pills and get-thin-quick gimmicks are more prevalent than ever, yet two-thirds of our population is still overweight. Even more startling is the fact that approximately one-third of the people in our country are clinically obese.

With all of these 'solutions' available to us, why is it that obesity trends have been alarming enough to prompt the Centers For Disease Control (CDC) to label obesity a national epidemic? Why are we still, as a nation, getting fatter? It's certainly not because we'r e not trying.

On the contrary, as a nation we're trying harder than ever to lose fat through diet and other weight loss products. As reported by CNN on 1-14-05 "Americans were expected to spend more than $40 billion in 2004 on weight control pills, gym memberships, diet plans and related foods, estimates Marketdata Enterprises, which studies the weight loss industry." Furthermore, statistics from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) indicate that 80 percent of overweight individuals and almost 87 percent of obese individuals are trying to lose or maintain their weight.

As reported by mygoals.com, 80 percent of Americans made a New Year's resolution in 2005. A whopping 26 percent of those resolutions were to improve overall health and fitness, making this the top category for self-improvement. This year was no anomaly, either, according to Amy O'Connor, deputy editor of Prevention magazine: "Fifty-nine million people every year resolve to lose we ight."

So, is there a healthy diet product out there that will actually work? More than likely, the answer is yes. Although there is quite a bit of fraudulent weight loss merchandise on the market today, there is also (somewhere out there) a diet program and weight loss plan that will work for us. The challenge is to find that diet product or diet plan.

-> Repeat Business:

The diet and weight loss industry is a huge money making machine. According to Marketdata Enterprises, the annual revenue for the diet industry was over $30 billion dollars in 1990. A 2005 report by Stanford University documents that the consumer diet industry is now approximately $44 billion and growing. With all this money flowing around, haven't we as a country spent enough to fix the obesity problem once and for all?

How can the diet industry keep making more and more money, year after year? After all, $44 billion dollars is a lot of cash! The answer to that question is simp le: repeat business. "98% of today's dieters gain the weight back in 5 years. 90% of those individuals end up gaining back more than they lost originally, due to the body's panic and efforts to stabilize metabolic rates over the long term" (Source: Stanford University; stanford.edu).

How do the diet-promoters get all that repeat business? The diet industry is a very unique enterprise in that, when it fails someone, they rarely blame the product. We are hard-pressed to find another business where, if the product doesn't work, we blame ourselves. All too often, after giving up on yet another diet program, we find ourselves thinking "Well, I guess I'm just not a good enough dieter." The tendency is for us to believe that we failed the diet rather than the other way around.

Apply this same logic to the automotive industry, and it soon becomes clear just how faulty this line of reasoning really is. What would happen if we take our car in to the mechanic for repairs and when we returned to pick it up he told us that although we still had to pay the bill, he was unable to fix the problem? Would we willing pay the bill anyway and just say "Oh well, I guess it's just a bad car?" Of course not! That would be ridiculous! But that's exactly what we do when it comes to diets.

-> One Size Does Not Fit All:

What we need to realize is that there is probably a weight loss product or weight loss plan out there that will work for us, but it may not be the same one our friends or co-workers used. To find the best weight loss program for us, we absolutely must realize that one size does not fit all. What worked for our sibling or spouse may not work for us, and what works for us may not work for them.

It's probably safe to say that any diet supplement has helped somebody, but it's also true that no weight loss drug or plan has helped everybody. Each person has a unique metabolism and very individual nutritional needs, so no single plan will work for everyone.

-> How To Find The Right Weight Loss Diet:

Some fat burner products on the market today do indeed work. Others are a complete rip-off. How do you tell the difference? Where do you go for accurate and reliable weight loss information?

First and foremost, talk with your doctor. Your own personal physician is likely to be honest with you and provide you with the facts. In addition, he or she can help you decide which weight loss supplement may be right for your personal situation.

There are also quite a few reputable organizations that provide accurate information on fat loss. Some of the better resources include: * American Cancer Society - www.cancer.org * Centers For Disease Control - www.cdc.gov * Diet Scam Watch - www.dietscam.org * Calories Per Hour - www.caloriesperhour.com * Harvard Medical School - www.health.harvard.edu * Mayo Clinic - www.mayoclinic.org * Shape Up America - www.shapeup.org * Calorie Control Co uncil - www.caloriecontrol.org * President's Council On Physical Fitness - www.fitness.gov

When seeking a healthy weight loss plan, it's important that no food be strictly forbidden. There should not be any (or many) foods that we avoid completely 100% of the time. Why? Because that sets us up for failure! For example, if fudge is one of our favorites and we force ourselves to NOT eat fudge at the holiday party, then for many of us what we've done is set ourselves up for a binge fudge-festival.

Avoiding our favorite foods entirely is a too much self-deprivation for most people, and this sets us up for binge-eating. That's a recipe for disaster!

A much better approach is to enjoy foods in moderation. Watch those serving sizes! Enjoy and savor one piece of fudge! It's better to enjoy one piece of fudge and then stop than attempt to deprive ourselves entirely, only to end up eating the whole pan.

A good diet and nutrition program will also help us k eep in mind the cost of the foods we eat. We're not talking about dollars and cents here, but the FITNESS cost of the food. When picking up that fudge, keep in mind what it will cost to enjoy it. When picking up a plate at the buffet table, let's take a moment to pause and think to ourselves: "The cost of this fudge will be an extra _____ minutes of exercise.....is that worth it to me?" Maybe. Maybe not. That's for each of us to decide on our own.

The point is that we should be conscious of our food decisions. No foods are forbidden entirely, but we do need to watch our portion sizes and carefully consider the cost of each food. Any good weight management program will incorporate these concepts and also will be approved by your doctor.

-> How To Find The Right Weight Loss Supplement:

Perhaps even more so than with weight loss diets, when searching for weight loss supplements it is critical to rely on the advice of your physician. The careful and supervis ed use of weight loss diet pills, combined with a sensible diet and regular exercise, can lead to quick weight loss and even easy weight loss (or at least easier than you expected).

Beware, however, the supplement scams on the market. It seems that every time we turn around we are blasted and bombarded with the latest, greatest, new and improved treatment for obesity. The gimmicks just keep coming. The sad truth is that few of these products work. Even fewer will result in real, permanent and lasting fat loss. A very few of the weight loss gimmicks on the market today are not only a consumer rip-off, but they are also quite dangerous.....even deadly.

As an example, consider the prescription diet drug Meridia. Does it help you lose weight? For some people, the answer is yes. For others, the answer is no. Can it kill you? The answer to this question seems to be a nervous 'maybe'. "The consumer group Public Citizen had petitioned the Food and Drug Administration f or a ban, citing Meridia users who died of heart problems as young as their 20s and 30s. Even before Meridia was approved for sale, the FDA knew it could increase users' blood pressure, the group contended." (Source: cnn.com)

This week the FDA again refused to ban Meridia, even though whistleblower David Graham (an FDA drug safety officer) testified to Congress last fall that his agency was allowing five unsafe medicines to stay on the market, including Meridia.

Another example of a dangerous weight loss drug is ephedra. Ephedra was banned in the United States last year, in part due to numerous deaths attributed to this popular weight loss supplement. On April 14 2005, a federal Judge in Utah reversed the short-lived ban on ephedra. Within minutes, spammers were filling our email boxes with messages to BUY BUY BUY before ephedra was banned again.

Yes, ephedra will help some people lose weight. Yes, ephedra is safe for some people in low doses. But there is that little nagging fact that people have DIED and that their deaths have been attributed to ephedra use.....

Yet another example of a dangerous diet drug is steroids. For whatever reason, some people have decided that anabolic steroids are the best way to lose weight. Despite the well-documented and serious side-effects of steroid use, the lure of easy weight loss has caused many to throw caution to the wind. Perhaps the most concerning trend is steroid use among our teenage population: "Teens also listed steroids, growth hormone, amino acids and other potentially unhealthful products among those they'd tried in the previous year." (Source: cnn.com)

There do exist, however, some diet supplements that work and are also quite safe. Again, it is never a good idea to begin any supplementation program without first seeking the advice and approval of your doctor.

Three popular and dependable fat loss products designed to help you lose weight fast are Chro meMate, Lipotropic Plus and Super L-Carnitine.

Chromium helps insulin metabolize fat, turn protein into muscle and convert sugar into energy. ChromeMate, a unique form of niacin-bound chromium, is designed to optimize energy output. It accomplishes this by increasing the amount of glucose available for energy production nearly twenty-fold. It also is the "master" nutrient for controlling blood sugar, which in turn curbs sugar cravings. What's more, a study at Auburn University showed that ChromeMate reduced LDL cholesterol by an average of 14%. In fact, ChromeMate has been awarded a patent for lowering cholesterol.

The Lipotropic Plus Formula is scientifically-engineered to assist in the breakdown, distribution and burning (oxidation) of fatty acids. The active ingredients actually accelerate the fat-burning process by breaking down fat cells into smaller particles (emulsification) to be used for fuel during exercise.

Super L-Carnitine is essential for f at burning. I.B. Fritz and K.T.N. Yue, physiologists from the University of Michigan, discovered that Carnitine actually accelerates fat-burning. Without it, fat is unable to penetrate the walls of the mitochondria of the muscle cells. Carnitine is the shuttle that carries fat into your body's furnaces (muscles) to be burned for energy. Super L-Carnitine increases the rate of fat utilization for fuel.

-> Weight Loss Exercise:

In this article we've been discussing weight loss diets and weight loss supplements. At this point it is essential that we add the third and most important component of overall health and fitness: exercise.

Exercise is one weight loss method that has never been banned, has never led to an investigation, and has never been been listed on a 'whistleblower' fraud report.

Exercise is the only path to health and fitness that virtually every doctor in the world agrees upon. Exercise is safe, effective, and brings many more benefits to our lives than diets or drugs ever will alone. Exercise is fun, invigorating, motivating and the single most powerful way to improve our life and well-being!

Yes, it's quite possible to lose weight without participating in regular exercise. However, diet and exercise combined will help us burn fat faster than we thought possible! Weight loss achieved by regular exercise and diet will be healthy weight loss because of all the benefits we obtain from regular exercise:

1. Strengthens muscles 2. Strengthens bone 3. Strengthens ligaments 4. Strengthens tendons 5. Strengthens immune system 6. Improves muscle tone 7. Improves endurance 8. Improves strength 9. Improves self esteem 10. Improves confidence 11. Improves balance 12. Improves physical appearance 13. Improves physical performance 14. Improves glucose tolerance 15. Improves circulation 16. Improves memory 17. Lower risk of heart disease 18. Lower risk of diabetes 19. Lower risk of cancer 20. Lower blood p ressure 21. Lower cholesterol 22. Lower risk of stroke 23. Lower risk of osteoporosis 24. Lower risk of osteoarthritis 25. Lower requirements for medication 26. Lower risk of injury 27. Lower bodyfat 28. Helps with sleep disorders 29. Reduces post-operative complications 30. Reduces frequency of illness 31. Prevent Alzheimer's disease 32. Prevents muscle loss 33. Increases metabolism 34. Eases symptoms of menopause 35. Healthier pregnancy 36. Fewer problems with childbirth 37. Reduces ovulation problems 38. Prevents heartburn

Reaching your ideal weight via a healthy and active lifestyle has been found to lower health risks and medical problems in 90 percent of overweight patients. In addition to the exercise benefits listed above, fit people are eight times less likely to die from cancer than the unfit, and 53 percent less likely to die from other diseases. Fit people are also eight times less likely to die from heart disease.

Without a doubt, regular exercise is the most important piece of the puzzle and the best way to achieve rapid weight loss. Exercise is the safest way to achieve permanent fat loss, and when combined with a sound diet and nutrition program the body is turned into a virtual fat-burning furnace!

-> Conclusion:

Fast weight loss is possible if we, under the supervision and approval of our doctor, combine a sensible diet with a diet pill or weight loss pill that is safe and effective. When we combine these three fat-burning strategies it is almost guaranteed that we will experience quick weight loss results.

Chronic Vaginal Yeast Infections - What’s Causing your Vaginal Candida Overgrowth

Chronic vaginal yeast infections are now an irritating problem for 5% of women. The reason for the popularity in recurrent vaginal Candida overgrowth is the fact that these women don't know the cause of their infection. Once you discover the cause of your infection you will be putting an end to your misery in a short amount of time.

If you've been using the same OTC anti fungal cream in an attempt to cure your infection then the cream you are using has become part of your problem.

Resistant vaginal yeast infections

A yeast infection that is resistant to your treatment will become chronic due to the fact that the cream has now caused the yeast to mutate into a super yeast that OTC treatments can no longer cure. When the yeast mutates it turns into an aggressive fungus that feeds on the inside of your vagina. This fungus will easily adapt to its surroundings so it becomes better at surviving, and it easily adapts to the OTC anti fun gal treatment that it's continually exposed to.

Antibiotics use

Antibiotics use is the biggest cause of chronic vaginal yeast infections. When you use antibiotics for another infection like a urinary tract infection they kill your friendly bacteria as well as the E coli that is causing the UTI. When your friendly bacteria has been wiped out the Candida Albicans yeast that lives harmlessly in your vagina, on your skin and in your digestive tract is allowed to mutate into a fungus because it has nothing keeping it under control.

Health Conditions

Underlying health conditions can cause yeast infections. This is why it's important that you get seen by your doctor so any health problems that could be contributing to your chronic vaginal yeast infections can be ruled out. You may have a condition that is causing your immune system to become too weak to fight off infections on its own. This allows your body to be infected with anything, and not just the mutated Candida yeast.

Prescription medications

Other prescription drugs that cause yeast infections are the birth control pill and steroids. Both of these medicines play havoc with your hormone levels and your blood sugar levels. These fluctuations, especially the blood sugar levels give the yeast in your body food to feed on so they become stronger and multiply faster.

Once you know the cause of your recurrent vaginal yeast infections you can start curing yourself properly. This will usually start with an anti Candida diet that is accompanied by anti fungals and probiotics. If you're in doubt about what to do properly you can easily get expert help from someone who has professional knowledge of the Candida yeast.

Candida Cures: Fasting and Cleansing

If you're thinking about your options for getting rid of c.albicans naturally, doing candida fasting might come to mind. Perhaps you're tired of taking medications such as Nystatin, Diflucan, Clotrimazole Monistat, ThreeLac and others.

Cleansing and fasting has been done for centuries for various reasons including spiritual and health benefits. This is a good option for people who seem to get constant relapses of this infection. Candida cleansing and doing fasts are increasing in popularity as people learn about what creates yeast overgrowth and learn about what feeds this bacteria. By fasting, you could cause a candida die off and strengthen your immune system in the process.

Fasting can be done for many health reasons including to rid the body of parasites and toxins and for increased immune system. You'll find a long list of types of fasts and many supporting supplements and recipes for juices that can help you get through this period of time.< br />
Fasting is something that's not for everyone. Some people who have blood sugar issues or are on medication shouldn't go without food for a long period of time. If you are confident your doctor would give you the green light for fasting, you might consider it. Do extensive research before getting started.

Juice fasting generally isn't recommended for yeast infection sufferers because of the high sugar content. Even though pure juice contains natural sugar instead of refined sugar, it can still provide food for yeast bacteria to continue to grow. By reducing the sugar in a candida diet you can in effect, starve out the c.albicans and vegetable juice or straight water fasts are often done for candida.

Various fasting processes are recommended including water fasting and taking yeast infection supplements that are designed to support your body through a detoxification. Some include supplements you can purchase and you can find home remedies such as fresh garlic or grated ginger to put in the water to support the body during the cleanse. There are also recommended fasts that include vegetable juices which can provide you with health benefits and energy during your fasting period.

Flushing out toxins can be done with a water fast but it's important to be aware that during a cleanse or fast you can experience symptoms of a candida die-off which can be unpleasant. It's important to realize that the symptoms are temporary and can result in increased health and well being after the fact as well as an increased strength in your body's immune system which will impact your health positively going forward.

What duration should a fast be?

Fasting is done for different reasons and when it comes to starving the yeast in your body. Some fasts are done for three days and others are done for five days. The type of fast you do can impact the duration. The results can be very favorable in terms of ridding your body of yeast and of other undesirable toxins and parasites as well.

When it comes time to break your fast, it's important to do so carefully otherwise you can quickly undo all the health benefits you have just sacrificed for. Changing your lifestyle can help your body and help you reduce the chances of getting yeast overgrowth in future.

Naturopath Or MD? How Do You Treat Your Candida?

Those looking at potential candida treatment options should know that there are traditional medical approaches as well as holistic approaches. What's right for you can depend on a lot of factors but many people believe that going holistic as much as possible is the best way to manage problems with candida infections.

Holistic vs Medical Candida Treatments

A holistic approach is often considered a safer approach. Instead of medications to kill the candida albicans which can also kill beneficial flora in the gut you use a natural approach to cure the condition. Another factor of holistic cures is prevention. By changing dietary or lifestyle habits you can change the body's chemistry which can prevent new harmful yeast from growing.

Your yeast infection treatment largely depends on whether or not this is the first yeast infection you've had. You really should actually have a diagnosis to ensure you are suffering from candida albic ans. Once you know you have a yeast infection, it's easier to take either a medicinal or holistic approach.

Whether you use a candida diet or take herbs or take prescription medication to deal with candida problems, knowing what your triggers and symptoms are can be a very valuable approach to keeping candida albicans at bay.

In terms of prescription medication options, Diflucan is a commonly used antifungal medical treatment for yeast infections. While this is a candida treatment option that works for many people, many people can have side effects as a result of using the drug. Nausea and headaches are common side effects. Those with recurring problems with candida can also find that Diflucan can become ineffective for them. Taking drugs too often can not only result in their losing effect but in being harmful on vital organs such as the liver.

Many people look for candida treatment options that are more natural, especially when they h ave recurring yeast infections. Today, more than ever people are finding that a holistic approach can be a safer way to deal with a problem such as candida. Making our bodies inhospitable for this yeast seems to be the best defense against having excess yeast which leads to candida infections.

What is a candida infection? Candida albicans are already present in our bodies along with other bacteria. Some of our bacteria is necessary for helping to create a harmonious environment in our digestive systems. When the candida albicans bacteria get out of control due to excess growth, it can cause many side effects including vaginal rash and discharge, oral thrush as well as other side effects. It's important to keep the body at an ideal pH balance to keep the bacteria levels in check. Some people are more susceptible to yeast infections than others and issues such as taking antibiotics plus eating habits can all impact the body's ability to stay at a healthy balance.< br />
Food that you eat and supplements that you take can also impact your body's ability to fight off the growth of candida. Learning as much as you can is quite important if your health is poor due to immune system deficiency or because you have problems with recurring yeast infections. Tests are avialable to determine what your body's pH balance is.

Intestinal Yeast Infections - Naturally Curing Candida Overgrowth

Intestinal yeast infections are easy to cure once you know the cause of your infection, and the steps you need to take to successfully rid the Candida yeast from your body. The Candida that causes your symptoms is now a fungus that is feeding on your body's cell membranes, and it also feeds of certain foods that you consume on a day to day basis. Once you have discovered the cause and eliminated everything that is contributing to the overgrowth of this destructive fungus you will regain your good health.

Your anti Candida diet

Your diet is the first part of your lifestyle you must change in order to rid your body of the Candida yeast. An intestinal yeast infection will continue to get worse while you're feeding the yeast with foods that help it get stronger and help it multiply faster. Fungus doesn't need much for it to spread at an alarming rate so feeding it will allow it to completely take over your digestive tract in a very short time.
< br /> Staying away from antibiotics and other oral anti fungals

Antibiotics are now the biggest cause of Candida infections in the intestines. To keep the Candida from infecting your intestines your body needs a healthy colony of friendly bacteria keeping it clean and infection free.

One course of antibiotics will kill all of the friendly bacteria in your body so if you can you need to stay away from taking these anti bacterial drugs while you're trying to cure your intestinal Candida problem. If you have another infection like a urinary tract infection, strep throat or bacterial vaginosis then you can easily cure these with far more effective natural cures instead of using antibiotics.

Many people with a weak immune system will get other infections while they have a yeast infection because their body can't naturally prevent itself from being infected. Antibiotics will weaken your immune system so they will make your problems worse bef ore you decide to do the things that will make them better.

Natural anti fungal supplements

When you kill the yeast in your body you will be using natural anti fungal supplements and herbs. These kill the yeast without causing the side effects of anti fungal drugs. They don't destroy your body's natural chemical and bacterial balance like medications do.

What a natural intestinal yeast infection cure will do

When you want to successfully cure your Intestinal yeast infection you can only achieve this with a natural cure because of the side effects drugs have on your system. A natural cure will...

Kill the Candida yeast living in your intestines
Repopulate your intestines with friendly, infection fighting bacteria
Strengthen your infection fighting immune system
Improve your health and well being
Eliminate the need for any anti fungal or bacterial drugs

Natural cures for y east infections

Once you get everything right you will successfully be able to cure your intestinal Candida overgrowth.

Cure Candida

Candida is a very common disease among people in the west. 75 percent of overweight people are said to be suffering from candida. If you can get rid of your candida, you will be more likely to handle your over weight, scientists claim.

Over weight or not, with Candida in your body, you will have a hard time living a normal life, depending of the degree of the symptoms you have. Symptoms vary a whole lot among people. Common ones are bloating, sugar cravings, dizziness, depression, yeast infections. They are hard to get rid off permanently if you simply not stop feeding the Candida in your body. This can be done by doing an anti candida diet and colon cleanse. You will usually be symptom free quite quickly, normally after a few days or a week, but to permanently get rid of all the yeast in your body, a cleanse and a diet have to be obtained.

It's not very complicated, it just takes some planning. You should avoid all sugar and bread, because th ese contain yeast. You can eat most vegetables as well as fish, meats and chicken. Pasta and potato should be avoided, but there are several other cereals to choose from, like rice, mill and quinoa. You should also take a colon cleanse with psyllium seeds. Vitamin C and garlic helps to cleanse as well.

The first week or so, your symptoms can worsen. This is completely normal and nothing to worry about. It means that your body is responding on the diet, so it's a positive thing. They will disappear after approximately a week or so. Just remember to not have a too busy schedule this first week, because you can be very tired and need extra rest because of the symptoms occurring.

Are You Suffering From Combined Candida Yeast Chronic Fatigue Symptoms?

If you or a loved one is suffering with Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, it is worth exploring the potential candida yeast chronic fatigue link.

Candida yeast can be harmless and co-exist on or in the human body for the majority of the time. However, if allowed to grow excessively then it can become a real cause for concern, and in some severe cases a candida infection can become life threatening if left untreated.

As well as being an uncomfortable infection it can also contribute towards a number of other medical problems such as irritable bowel syndrome, gas and bloating and also fatigue. In this article we will look more closely at just what the relationship is between Candida Yeast and Chronic Fatigue.

In some cases, where the actual clinical signs of a Candida yeast infection may not be obvious, they can still trigger other symptoms and complications.

Certainly, many people who suffer from a yeast infection but do not show the normal signs of the infection may find that they suffer from fatigue, become irritable, and can suffer from constipation or diarrhea or both plus many other symptoms.

However there are some researchers who are suggesting that a change in a person's normally healthy levels of bacteria found in the intestine could play a part in a person suffering from the symptoms associated with Chronic Fatigue. These bacteria are a defense mechanism against bacterial infection, virus' and yeast infections. They also play an important role in ensuring we maintain a strong immune system and an effective digestive function.

As yet there is no evidence to show which, if any, specific type of virus or infection is the single cause for a person to suffer from chronic fatigue.

Yet it has been shown that people who have CFS often have an elevated levels of anti-bodies to organisms which can cause Lyme disease, Candida (yeast infections), HHV-t (Herpes vi rus Type 6) along with Measles and Parvovirus.

So, the link seems conclusive, except that researchers have spent vast amounts of time looking at the possibility that some sort of virus of other infectious agents, for example Candida yeast is the cause of chronic fatigue. But at present there is no firm evidence to prove that this is the case.

The difficulty in diagnosing a link between chronic fatigue and candida, or any other infection is understandable. It is hard to spot a trend, as many people suffer from virus and yeast infection's, but do not then go on to suffer with chronic fatigue syndrome.

Interestingly, there has been some research carried out that showed if a person follows an anti-candida diet, then it can help with the CFS symptoms.

These diets require a restricted intake of sugars, yeast products and processed foods. Although, this research was not carried out on a large scale, it does indicate that there ca n be benefits to changing to a healthy diet that can re-energize the immune system.

So, although there seems to be plenty of anecdotal evidence of a candida yeast chronic fatigue connection, there is no conclusive proof to that effect. The best advice that anyone can give is that you should react to any indication of symptoms of candida overgrowth and work to eliminate it as soon as possible. In this way you can minimize the risk of complications.

Diabetes and Candida Information

Are you interested in finding out if there is a connection between candida infections and Diabetes? There can be a strong connection between these two conditions and having Diabetes can increase your chances of having regular problems with your body's yeast levels plus if you're having regular bouts with candida this could be a symptom of a problem with your blood glucose levels.

What Causes Yeast Infections?

When yeast infections happen, it's because our body's bacteria levels are out of control. Many things can cause this and make you more susceptible and aggravate other health conditions in the process. Repeated yeast infections can mean that there is a serious underlying health condition as well such as Diabetes or another condition.

Just because you have repeated yeast infections does not mean you have a problem with your blood sugar but it's worth investigating when you are having problems with recurring candida. If you've tried various approaches to fight candida but it seems relentless, you may consider talking to your physician about testing for other health problems. If you already know you have diabetes, you can have a continuous battle with yeast.

Candida and Diabetes: The Connection

Our body has both good bacteria (and flora) and bad bacteria as well. The good guys can get overpowered by the bad guys when things go off kilter for many reasons such as illness, poor diet or medication we've been taking. People who are diabetics can be more prone to yeast infections because their body's levels are off due to their blood sugar and their lack of strength in their immune system can make it easy for unhealthy bacteria to thrive.

Treatment Challenges

There are yeast treatment challenges for those with Diabetes. You're probably already following a strict diet and know that when you stray from it you can have problems with your blood sugar. Sugar can feed candida and help them replicate.

Over the counter yeast infection and holistic approaches as well can be helpful but they can take longer for those with other health problems like Diabetes to see results with. If you chose a pharmacy over the counter 1 or 3 day suppository for a yeast infection it might not be powerful enough and if most people see a difference with a remedy in a few days, you could wait a few weeks.

The Cure for Candida

The cure for candida is different for everyone. We know that those with blood sugar problems benefit from being very careful about their eating habits. The same goes for candida sufferers. Following a candida diet can be very helpful in preventing yeast infections. Eating diabetic approved foods to increase your immune system's strength can also be very helpful as can exercise and other things done to improve your body's pH level.

It can take time for you to determine the cause and th e treatment for your health problems but looking at a holistic approach can help you both with your diabetes and recurring yeast infections.

A Candida Test

Candida is a disease that can cause a lot of discomfort and effect your life in several ways. To cure it permanently is important, if you want to live your life normally. You can get a Candida test at your physician. It's a simple blood test and nothing complicated. If you have many different symptoms, such as sugar cravings, bloating, fatigue, reoccurring skin and genital yeast infections, you can probably be quite sure it's Candida you are suffering from.

When you have been properly diagnosed, it's time to start a treatment. The only thing really working to cure it permanently is to do an anti yeast diet, complemented with herbs and supplements. You can cure symptoms by over the counter drugs and creams and be better for a while, but it will all come back sooner of later. Do You Know About The Candida Albicans Treatment Options Available?

There has been an increase in the number of medical conditions that can be, at least partly, attributed to a westernized lifestyle. A Candida Albicans infection is one of them. Although there are a number of cases where the candida infection cause is unknown, there does tend to be specific conditions that allow candida albicans to thrive. So, if you have an infection, what candida albicans treatment options are available to you?

Firstly, the symptoms of a candida infection can often be misdiagnosed. For instance, an infection in the vagina is often self-diagnosed as a yeast infection, when it may actually be a bacterial infection. Therefore the treatment that is used can be ineffective, or even help the infection grow quicker.

Unfortunately, the same can be true of an overgrowth of candida in the intestines. This can sometimes be thought of as a bacterial infection, and antibiotics prescribed. This however, can have a worsening effect on the symp toms as antibiotics kill off the friendly bacteria, which suppress the candida albicans growth.

This is why a person who has a suspected yeast infection should speak with their doctor to get a proper diagnosis before commencing treatment

Once a candida infection is confirmed, then the doctor will normally recommend one of a number of anti fungal medications, which are either available on prescription or over the counter. This medication will come as either a lotion or as an oral supplement.

However, it is important the root cause of the infection is identified and eliminated or treated. Otherwise there is the risk of reoccurrence once the course of treatment has been finished.

Here are some simple tips that can be taken to improve the body's chance of fighting the candida infection and also to reduce the risk of reoccurrence. The adoption of these tips is dependent upon the type of candida infection that you may have.

Identify ways to improve the immune system, which will reduce the chance of a candida infection taking hold

Check that any medication you are taking is required as this may be suppressing the immune system.

Check for any soaps or cleaning materials that are being used that could be irritating the skin or the vaginal area.

Make sure that if you wear dentures and you have oral thrush that they fit correctly, poorly fitting dentures they can effect the mucous membrane and allow the candida to thrive.

If the infection is in the intestines then bolster the diet with probiotics, which are the friendly bacteria that normally keep the candida albicans in check.

You can follow an anti candida diet, which restrict foods that contain sugars, yeast, fungus and mould, fermented foods and certain diary products. These diets starve the candida, while simultaneously feeding the body with nutritionally rich foods that h elp build the immune system.

Candida: Food Craving 101- Update

Candida albicans is a form of yeast that naturally occurs in your body. It feeds of sugars, yeast, mold, and fungi that are in your diet. The more that you eat the foods that Candida albicans needs the quicker the yeast will spread. Because of Candida's need for sugar, it can cause you to crave unhealthy foods that contain large amounts of refined carbohydrates and sugars. Something in your body could be causing you to be a junk food junkie! One of the best things to do is to starve the Candida albicans out of you.

There are many foods that need to be either limited or completely avoided when you are on a diet to reduce a Candida infection. A good rule of thumb is to avoid foods with sugars or yeast. Reducing these will reduce the number of carbohydrates in your daily intake. Sometimes a carb restriction of less than 60g per day is required. It is not easy to eliminate the sources of sugar in your diet. All of us can recognize sugar in its most common forms(ra w, white, and brown), but there are some sneakier types out there. Honey, turbinado, demerrara, amesake, and fruit. You definitely need to remove fresh, frozen, and dried fruit, along with fruit juices, from your diet. Fruit contains natural, simple sugars that yeast can feed on a quickly grow. Read the label on any food you purchase. If you see any on of these words put it back on the shelf. Avoid: Sucrose, fructose, maltose, lactose, glycogen, glucose, mannitol, sorbital, glactose, and both mono and polysaccharides.

The other group of foods that you have to skip entirely are those that contain yeast. Baker's yeast, brewer's yeast, Engevita, and Torula are the most common forms of yeast you will come across at your local grocery store. You can understand why you need to avoid breads, rolls, crackers, bagels, pastries, and muffins. You will have to avoid alcohol, also. Foods that are thought to have a mold contamination or use fermentation have to be eliminated as well. Foods like peanuts, peanut butter, pistachios, coffee, black tea, cider, root beer, and all forms of cheese should be avoided like the plague. All forms of vinegar except organic apple cider vinegar should be avoided, too. This is not a complete list of the foods to be avoided, the ones to be reduced are not even included. If you want a complete guide, you can find a lot of great information on the internet, at your local library, or your chosen health care provider.

Now that your know what to eliminate or reduce in your diet, you are ready to learn what you can eat. After reading the "do not" list, you thought your options were limited to water only. Not true. Beef, poultry, lamb, eggs, and veal are viable meats for you Moderate portions are recommended. All manners of fish: clams, lobster, and shrimp. The fresher the better, but frozen is acceptable. Many nuts and seed such as Brazil nuts, almonds, cashews, filburts, and pumpkin seeds. Fresh vegetable s should be stressed, Asparagus and spinach, especially, but do not overlook eating a variety like beets, cabbage, cauliflower, carrots, and tomatoes. Think fresh though. Processing lowers the nutritional value and can add Candida friendly preservatives. This list could cover several pages if it included everything you can eat.

Some of the things you have to avoid can be re-introduced after the first two weeks of the diet. Introduce them slowly, and only one at a time. If you eat some thing again and have a painful recurrence, then you will have a good idea what caused it an can quickly eliminate that food again. You can drink small amounts of fruit juice if you prepare it yourself. That means to squeeze your own juice. Have this infrequently.

Living on a Candida diet does not have to be boring or keep you from going out to eat with your friends or lover. You just have to show restraint and some common sense. It's much better than the painful altern ative of a severe yeast infection.

Candida Cleanse - a Powerful Way to Improve Your Health

Before performing a Candida cleanse, consider this; most cases of Candida infection are caused by the person's own Candida organisms. Candida yeasts usually live in the mouth, gastrointestinal tract, and vagina without causing symptoms. Problems occur when something upsets the balance of bacteria in the body and allows the yeast organism to reproduce and become overgrown in these sites, leaving the body unable to perform it's natural detox process.

To appropriately restore the bodies natural ability to cleanse and detoxify itself there should first be an understanding of the risks of the overproduction of yeasts, what causes the overproduction of these bacteria's, and how a Candida cleanse can restore the natural detox ability of your body.

How Does the Overproduction of Yeast Effect My Health?

One of the most known forms of yeast is the vaginal yeast infection. However, the over production of yeast can play a role in just about any ment al health condition or chronic illness you can think of.

Yeast overgrowth interferes with the bodies natural detox process and is considered to be a leading contributor in alcoholism, irritable bowel syndrome, multiple chemical sensitivities, crohns, autism, chronic fatigue syndrome, leaky gut syndrome, pms, endometriosis, fibromyalgia syndrome, prostatitis, attention deficit disorder, multiple sclerosis, asthma, food allergies, muscle and joint pain, clinical depression, anxiety disorders, asthma, repeated urinary tract infections, hormonal imbalances, migraines, digestive disturbances, difficult menopause, psoriasis, lupus, chronic pain, rheumatoid arthritis, Addison's disease and many others.

Preventing The Over Production of Yeast in Your Body

A Candida cleanse can help bring the body back into it's natural balance restoring the ability to cleanse and detoxify itself but first, let's take a look at the contributing factors that caus e this over production of yeasts in the first place and the ways that you can help prevent this over production of yeast, restoring your body's ability to perform it's natural detox process.

There are a variety of causes of Candida, but the two leading contributors are a diet high in sugar and refined foods and the overuse of antibiotics.

First and foremost you want to refrain from taking antibiotics unless it is absolutely necessary. Try to find other healthy alternatives such as whole body cleansing to detoxify your body and clear infections first. Of course there may be times when it can't be avoided and antibiotics are needed to clear infections.

If you must take an antibiotic for some reason, consider taking an acidophilus supplement during the course of the treatment. This will help keep healthy bacteria present in your body.

The second most important factor in reducing Candida symptoms is to follow a Candida diet. A diet high in sugar is optimal for the overproduction of yeast. It's crucial to eliminate sugars and refined foods to reduce overgrowth.

Most people with Candida infections are also suffering from nutritional deficiencies. A crucial step in restoring your body's natural ability to cleanse itself of the excessive yeast growth is correcting these nutritional deficiencies.

How to Choose a Candida Cleanse

A natural approach to a Candida cleanse is the most powerful way to relieve symptoms and improve your health.

So in your search to restore your body's optimal performance, look for a natural detox system, that performs a whol e body cleansing and provides your body with the proper nutritional diet that will help cleanse your body now and prevent reoccurring infections in the future.

You can get rid of your symptoms for a while, with conventional pharmacy drugs, but if you really want to cure the cause of the disease, a diet is really the only way to go. You need to take some additional herbs to make it effective as well.

How should a candida cure look and what should it contain? First of all, you should be prepared that you have to be on the diet for a couple of months, before you are totally cured from the intestinal candida. You will usually be free from your symptoms after a week or even faster, though. In the first couple of days it’s common to experience so called die off symptoms, and during this your symptoms increase. This is not anything to worry about and it will disappear after a couple of days or so. It simply means that your diet is working and that the body is cleaning the yeast out. The diet can seem quite extreme, but there are really a lot you can eat, you just have to set your mind to change your food habits for a while for some time. And from the wellness you gain from it, makes it really worth while! Some people claim they got their life back because of the diet.

Things you can eat on your candida diet:

Most meats, such as beef, duck and chicken

Vegetables like broccoli, asparagus, tomatos and olives.

Pure oils and butter

yeast free sour-rye bread

acidophilus.

There’s many more foods that you can eat, so as you can see, it’s quite easy to get by. You should also take some supplements to make the cure work and do the work, such as garlic, a colon cleanse with psyllium seeds, and big amounts of pure vitamin C.

More important are the things that you can't have. All sugars, all flour except in rye sour bread, all artificial colorings should be left out during the diet. This means you have to read the labels on your food carefully. It may sound difficult, but just do your homework and plan everything carefully before you get going with the diet. Make meal plans week by week. This will make it easier to follow. See to it that you don’t have such a busy schedule in the beginning, since it’s going to take quite a lot of your time and you might be very tired as well.

If you just are patient and stick to the cure, you will truly notice how much better you will get.

So, bare with the food restrictions for some time, and you will regain your energy and the health you deserve.
